I want to take a moment to recognize your unwavering commitment to our mission and the meaningful impact we continue to make together. Your dedication ensures that the Y remains a place of belonging, growth, and opportunity for all. 

This month, I’m excited to share the launch of You Belong: Foster Youth Initiative, our new initiative to support foster youth across LA County. Through this effort, all youth ages 12–26 who are in the foster care system or have aged out will have free access to Y programs and critical resources. This initiative ensures that some of our most vulnerable young people receive the support they need to thrive—another powerful example of how the Y serves as the Center for Community Well-Being. More information on how this initiative works will be coming soon. 

At the same time, our Long-Term Fire Response Efforts continue to make a significant impact. Over 1,600 individuals have been connected to free Y memberships, camp enrollment, mental health support, and outreach to ensure they can access the resources we and our partners provide. Thank you to everyone who has played a role in making these connections possible and please continue to share the Fire Response Intake Form with our communities. 

Beyond the incredible work we do every day, it was a great joy to see so many of you at our glamorous all staff event at Universal Studios! Celebrating together was a powerful reminder of the dedication, passion, and heart that each of you bring to our Y family. Seeing our team unwind, connect, and enjoy the well-earned recognition of your hard work was truly special. You show up every day for our youth, adults, and families, and I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to celebrate you in such a fun and meaningful way. 

Looking ahead, we remain on track for our strategic repositioning updates to messaging, with a full external launch set for early July. Training sessions are being scheduled to ensure our team is fully prepared and energized for this next chapter. Your passion and dedication continue to drive our momentum, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. 

I always say—when you do good things, good things will happen—and every day, I see proof of that in the work you do. Thank you for continuing to uplift our communities and bring our mission to life.
