Dear Y Team Members,

As we move through the final weeks of summer, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on the incredible impact you have made across the Los Angeles region. Together, through healthy living, youth development, and social impact, we have helped thousands of individuals and families feel supported, connected, and uplifted.

Through our FeedLA initiative we’ve helped distribute over 10,000 meals to community members—many still recovering from disaster or afraid to leave home. This is not just food—it’s care, it’s dignity, and it’s hope.As one family shared,

"We were blessed by you when we received a delivery full of blessings. Our basic needs were covered, and you were a relief for our worries. I know that perhaps you receive many thank you messages every day for all your work. But truly, for my family you were lifesavers. This gratitude comes from the bottom of the heart of a mother who no longer knew how to deal with the situation."

At Camp Whittle and Camp Round Meadow, more than 1,600 campers experienced summer the way it should be—building lifelong friendships, exploring the outdoors, and gaining new confidence. Thanks to our ongoing fire relief efforts, over 200 of those campers went for free, as part of our long-term response, which has also granted over 800 free memberships. Our Get Summer teen initiative exceeded expectations with over 13,000 sign-ups, giving young people access to safe spaces, mentorship, and meaningful activities when they needed it most.

In Healthy Living, your dedication helped us offer over 13,000 youth programming, keeping kids safer in the water, and we saw a 16% in participation across our group exercise classes and youth sports—proof that wellness remains a critical need in our communities. These numbers are impressive, but they only tell part of the story. It’s the experiences behind them that truly define our impact. A camper’s first time around a campfire. A teen finding their voice through a summer leadership program. A senior receiving food and conversation from a trusted Y volunteer.

This is what makes us the Center for Community Well-Being.I encourage you to share your stories—and the stories you hear—through this form. These voices help us show the true power of the Y and remind everyone why what we do matters.Thank you for showing up every day with heart, purpose, and vision. You are what makes this movement strong.

Be Well,
