Dear Y Team Members,

As we move in to fall, I want to share with you the exciting growth and momentum across our Association. Change always brings both reflection and anticipation—and in this season of transition, I see tremendous opportunity for us to deepen our impact as the Center for Community Well-Being.

We celebrate Celina Santiago, whose leadership and energy have left a lasting imprint on our movement. Celina has been an electric and inspirational leader, and while her path is taking her into a new endeavor, we are confident we will continue to partner with her in new ways to strengthen Los Angeles.

At the same time, we are energized by the leadership of Cesar Silva, our new COO. Already, Cesar is proving to be a dynamic and visionary leader, bringing a fresh perspective on how our centers can connect with our communities in powerful and innovative ways. His focus on data, collaboration, and service will help guide us into this next chapter.

This past month also marked a historic milestone with the external launch of the Palisades-Malibu YMCA capital campaign to rebuild and expand—now carrying its new name, the Lowe Family YMCA. This campaign will bring the community hub back to the area with even more possibilities for connection and impact for generations to come.

And in just a few short weeks, we will launch an extraordinary partnership with Inglewood Unified School District to bring the LA Y back to Inglewood. This campaign represents not just a new center, but a renewed commitment to listening to and serving a community that has been eager for us to return.

As an Association, we are building on what has already been our greatest revenue year ever—but more importantly, a year of our broadest reach of impact. From youth development to healthy living to social impact, we are positioned not only to sustain this momentum but to grow it. We are listening to our communities, shaping new initiatives, and continuing to meet people where they are with compassion and belonging.

Together, we are primed to make even greater progress—supporting our region to be well, do good, and lead change. Thank you for everything you do every day to make this possible. You are the heart of the Y, and I'm so excited to head on this path alongside you.

Be Well,

Victor Dominguez
